As I sit here and reflect on the last twenty four hours, I can't help but think about the wonderful news we've been given this year for Christmas. What better way to start the holiday knowing that we have a beautiful little GIRL on the way. Another to add to our collection! Carol and Danny will have three and Dana and I will have two!! Oh my at the bling-bling to buy!! Can you imagine the sleep overs and parties?
Noticed a slight change in the color of the blog? WE ARE HAVING A GIRL!!!! This has been the wildest and most anxious day waiting to hear news from Mommy and Daddy. I must admit, they were very strong inspite of all sneaky attempts from friends and family to try to get inside info from them.
There has been no communication between the Barton parents and their family members as of 8:00 am this morning. I regretfully have no news to report regarding the gender of the Barton baby at this time. You are invited to stay tuned for updates as I will post the results as soon as I have the permission of the parents!
In less than 20 hours two people I dearly love are going to find out if their child is a boy or a girl. Now, rather than to risk overuse of the word AMAZING (as I often do), I have turned to my handy dandy thesaurus for alternatives to describe just a few of my feelings about our baby announcement....overwhelming, grand, breathtaking, splendid, tremendous, remarkable, amazing, astounding, euphoric, gripping, exhilarating, spine tingling, awesome, exciting, delightful, joyful, thrilling, blissful, happiest, and humbled. (You'd think I was the only person ever to be a grandma!)
Can you believe Christmas is 7 days 15 hours 19 minutes away? Didn’t I take down the Halloween goblins just yesterday? Time is so fickle…it has an odd way of flying, however when you really really WANT to know something, it just d r a g s by. I secretly thought we would know this next week if we were getting a Princess or Prince but it just didn’t work out in our favor. The doctor wants to wait another week and that’s ok, he’s the doctor and he knows best BUT…It’s been so hard to refrain from shopping for baby (other than diapers). I want to buy every cute, adorable little thing I see, but I have fought the good fight and been strong. But I do have a list ready ...“ITEMS FOR BABY”!! There's two columns, Printhess – Printh. It’s alphabetized too. The items are book marked and ready to order as soon as I hear "It's a Gir or Bo". All I have to do is log in, select Confirm Order, and check Overnight Fed Ex Priority shipping!!! Whooohoo!
